Khabarakh is one of the Noghri -- the race of aliens which were in service to Darth Vader. Their world had been destroyed by a battle above their planet, and Vader blamed the Rebellion, forcing the Noghri to serve the Empire in exchange for help. Khabarakh was a member of the Noghri mission to capture Leia Organa Solo. He recognized her as the Mal'ary'ush -- the Daughter of Vader, their "savior" -- and following the compromise between Leia and the Noghri, they began to serve the New Republic, realizing they were actually betrayed by the Empire.
